Posted on 22 November 2017

Did you hear? The CVR conference has rebranded to Vu: Defy Reality! Anne-Marie is the Executive Producer of the new industry event - and now is the perfect time to get to know her. Be sure to check out Vu’s awesome new look and feel! It’s going to be a completely new experience, and Anne-Marie has been at the center of it all.

Name:

Anne-Marie Enns

Job Title:

Executive Producer

What project(s) are you currently working on?

Rebranding and producing the largest VR/AR/MR event in the Pacific Northwest - Vu: Defy Reality

What do you love most about working in VR?

I love the diversity of industries and people working in this space - you get to connect with people working in the medical field, space, gaming, entertainment, sports etc... and everyone is so excited about the potential of VR/AR and MR!

What three words would you use to describe a typical workday?

social, diverse, engaging

What is your biggest achievement to date - professional or personal?

I have experienced a lot of great achievements over the years, so professionally - probably winning an award for the Best Event in Canada, and personally, my son would be the ultimate achievement.. he is a rock star!

What is your personal mantra or motto?

Whatever you want in life, other people are going to want it too. Believe in yourself enough to accept the idea that you have an equal right to it.

Do you have any advice that you would like to share with young women aspiring to work in technology?

Go for it! I switched into the tech field a few years ago and have absolutely no regrets. It is a great place to be yourself and thrive! Be confident in your abilities!

Just for fun! If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you bring with you?

The three things I would bring with me are lip balm (I would need it), my son because he is awesome and would love it, and some matches to make a fire... because I would probably like to be rescued at some point ;)

Thanks Anne-Marie! Be sure to follow our FACEBOOK, TWITTER, and LINKEDIN channels and subscribe to our newsletter below for Archiact updates (and so you can keep up with the rest of the series!).
