Hey PSVR Community - First off, we want to say a huge thank you to all of the reviewers and players who supported Blasters of the Universe during its launch yesterday, it’s been amazing to hear your feedback and see you enjoying the game.
We want to address an issue that some of you have noticed and brought to our attention: on launch day, Blasters of the Universe debuted on PlayStation VR with a price of $19.99 USD (with a 10-15% discount for launch week). Not only was this more than the Rift and Vive versions of the game, it was more than we actually intended it to be on PlayStation, which was $14.99 USD.
Definitely a confusing situation, we know! We also know you have some questions, so we’ll do our best to answer them clearly for you here:
Q: Is the price still wrong?
A: As of February 28th, the price in the Americas has been corrected back to $14.99 USD.
Q: I bought the game on PSVR for more than $14.99 USD in the Americas, now what?
A: We have it on good authority from Sony that you will be fully reimbursed for the difference between the old and new prices. So, if you paid $19.99 USD, then you will receive $5 USD back.
Q: Why did this happen?
A: The blame for this lies solely on us; the final homestretch to launch day can often be hectic and full of changes, and confirming the proper price was just something we crossed our own wires on.
Q: Why did it take you so long to say anything?
A: Until now, we didn’t feel we had a good enough answer to give you, and didn’t want to spread more confusion than there already was. Know that we are doing all we can, and are so grateful for your patience.
