Contributing to the community is a core value at Archiact. It drives us to attend events, host game jams, and hire co-op students. During our recent visits to the SFU and UBC career fairs, we offered students the chance to win a lunch with Derek Chen, the president of Archiact. Daisy Luo, the winner of the draw, had the opportunity to discuss VR with Derek, and she wrote about her experience.
"Archiact is an inspiring team and they make the best VR games!
I was selected to have lunch with Archiact?s CEO, Derek Chen. Derek and I talked about the technology at Archiact. He also gave me helpful advice about being a new graduate.
After lunch, I was invited to tour the Archiact studio. When I walked in, I was greeted very energetically by the team. They had just begun decorating their office for Halloween. Everyone was talking about their projects and sharing their ideas. It is a place where I would want to work. The team is passionate about their projects and they enjoy being at work.
I also got the chance to try their fantastic products! Even though I'm not a gamer, I am totally impressed by their games. The game design is amazing - I wanted to keep playing. The Virtual tour is a great tool to use to walk through buildings before they're built. I can see the future demand for this product.
Thank you Archiact for the opportunity to learn about your company culture and technology!"
We're happy to hear that Daisy enjoyed her Archiact experience. A thank you to all of the students that expressed interest in Archiact and entered the competition. We hope to be able to share our passion for VR with more students in the future!
