Event Recap: Evasion VR at GDC 2018

Hey everyone! Here's a recap of GDC 2018. Don’t worry if you didn’t get the chance to come to the event, we’ve got you covered!

We showcased Evasion to GDC Expo attendees in Intel's corner VR booth from the 20th to the 23rd of March. We had an amazing location next to Oculus, Epic Games, Google, Sony, Unreal Engine, Enjin and Survios. As a result, there was a ton of foot traffic and the signup sheet to demo the game was constantly full.


Everyone who demoed Evasion loved their experience, including IGN, Gamespot, UploadVR, RoadtoVR, CNET, VentureBeat, 8bitdigi, VRFocus, CatsandVR, and more! Here’s what they had to say:


We were really honoured to have some fellow game designers, whose work we really admire, drop by and give great feedback on the game (shout out to the folks at Naughty Dog and Guerrilla Games!).

Our game designer, Ian Rooke, and our senior producer, Jennifer Dowding, were also invited to Intel’s VIP table at GDC Game Developer’s Choice Awards, where they cheered on some of the greatest talents in gaming who took away awards.

GDC was the perfect venue to share our development story for Evasion. Our partnership with Intel’s technical team has allowed us to take advantage of the power of the Intel Core i7 processor to drive better destruction, cooler explosions and better cloth physics.
