On January 1st, 2017, we came into work, looked at the VR year ahead of us, and were a bit floored. The games we were working on, the launches we knew were coming, the events and contents we were about to share; there was so much, and we were so eager to start bringing our work out into the world that we barely knew where to start!

At Archiact, we’re proud supporters of #WomenInTech. We couldn’t be happier that over one third of our entire workforce is women - from our whole finance team to multiple game designers and software engineers. We think that’s pretty awesome - especially since only 23% of workers in the gaming industry are female and only 26% of computing jobs are held by women.

The country has been abuzz with year-round celebrations of Canada's 150th birthday (also known as its sesquicentenial!) with Canadians showing their appreciation for the True North through programs and events spanning science, art, and community.
Of course, we wanted to jump right in and join the party, so the dev team here at Archiact teamed up with our friends at Vancouver's Science World to create Canoe Canada.
