We’ve been quiet here at Archiact ever since the holidays, and it’s all been in preparation for this huge news. We’ve joined forces with our ultra-talented friends at Secret Location to bring their punishingly-fun VR first-person shooter, Blasters of the Universe, to PlayStation VR on February 27th!
Blasters of the Universe rocked the VR world on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive in 2017; seeing how much players are already loving the technicolour shooter on PC VR, we can’t wait to unleash it on the PlayStation community. (Seriously, even our QA guys have trouble beating it, and they’re supposedly the pros.)
We’ll also be unleashing Grand Master Alwyn on you, which (depending on your taste for scathing insults from the 90s) will either have you cheer with joy or groan in despair. Even if the villian’s words can’t hurt you, we guarantee his hordes of weaving minions and spiraling waves of projectiles will have you fighting for your virtual life.
What can we say? Blasters of the Universe is going to kick your butt, and not be particularly apologetic about it. You’ll have to evade intricate bullet patterns, while blasting your way through an unrelenting onslaught of enemies with a customized weapon and shield loadout - which has over 130,000 unique customisations to make each weapon your own! (We had to double-check that number, but yes, there are literally that many combos to discover. Let us know when you’ve checked them all out, eh?)
Once you’ve mastered the loadout, you’ll then battle through 4 Campaign levels, go for a high score in Endless modes, and prepare to take on devious boss battles in a neon-bathed world straight out of ‘90s VHS cover art. This is the ultimate challenging VR experience, and we know you’re going to love it.
